Hot import nights ruled. There was a lot more cars than I expected and the girls were even hotter than I imagined. I would say if they walked into hooters and applied they would probably be overqualified. Saw two SVT contour show cars there, they were very nice. Overall on a 1-10 rating I would give the show a solid 9.
Detroit, on the other hand, can kiss my a$$. I'm not sure where all you guys in MI live and how close to detroit you are but we came in on 75 then I think 39 to 10 and we stayed at an embassy sweets in Southfield. The Roads have to be the absolute worst roads I have ever driven on in my entire life. I haven't been all over the US but I've driven all over Ohio, PA, NY, NJ, WV, VA, MD, and have never seen roads that bad. The cops their are DICKS. I guess underbody neons are illegal, and I had mine on in a gas station along with 10 other cars with me 5 of which had neons. A cop rolls in and starts harassing us, we all honestly didnt know and tried telling him were from Columbus and there legal there, didnt work and he was about to write all of us tickets but got called somewhere and took off like a bat out of hell. People in Detroit, rude as hell. We got harassed at our hotel, for no reason. We had 10 people staying at the embassy suites in 2 rooms and 10 staying at the hamton in 2 rooms right across the street. So the 10 at hampton come over to meet us to all roll to the show together, and all of a sudden were being detained by hotel security, getting kicked out of our rooms, and have 15 minutes to leave or were all going to jail because they think that were here to have a hotel party. IDIOTS, WHY WOULD WE DRIVE FROM COLUMBUS TO DETROIT TO HAVE A HOTEL PARTY. NOT HAPPENING. My buddy chris that was with us works at embassy, along with his mom, and phone calls were being made to coorporate instantly. harassment? yea sounds like it to me, and coorporate agreed also. BTW each room was $150 and we got them for $40 and my buddy Jeff overheard the hotel security guy say something about how "they got the rooms for $40 a night" and Jeff ( about 300lbs ) got in his face and said so its about the money than isnt it. He said nothing. After making us 3 hours late for the show we finally were able to leave and when we got back they harassed us again. We all pulled up to to embassy at like 12:30am to drop the people that were staying there off and thats it. Seconds after we pull up, here comes hotel security in there stupid van flying up. They get out all quick like their the CIA, and they start yelling at us saying whoever is not staying here needs to leave now. It's hard to describe in words but just picture the biggest creeps you could ever imagine and thats these guys. We had to hold back two of my friends from taking these guys to the ground. So heres what happened: The two hotel security guys are going to lose their jobs, ( my friends mom who works at embassy sweets is very high with coorporate), we are filing harassment charges, and we got refunded all our money and stayed for free. The end.
I will never set foot in Michigan again.

So yeah that daily commute sucks. But you can't blame Detroit for worthless rent-a-cops! Those pieces of garbage are pretty much worthless everywhere ya go. basically they're mall security and thats it!
