Hi all,
I now have the computer control harness in (whew, what a job...), along with the fuel-charge harness. Some codes have gone away, but I still have a 551 and now a 593. The 593 does not even appear on the list that I have -

I have now located another site with codes for a 1994 Ford which shows a 593 -
http://autorepair.about.com/library/ts/bl-dtcs-54a.htm. This site, however has a different text for the 551 code. My Contour is obviously a 1995, but maybe with 1994 EEC specs???
The bottom line is that I have a CONSTANT very high idle, around 3000 RPM, but no CEL. I guess that's progress.
Any help on the 593??? Also, since the 551 states: Problem in Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) solenoid/circuit - Solenoids, and my '95 IMRC is powered off of a vacuum line and not a solenoid, then what could this mean???
