hey- well i found out why my sunroof only opens like a inch then makes a funny noise. its the plastic gear that goes on the metal piece that opens the sunroof. i went to the ford dealer they said they only sell the motors(whole unit) not just the component piece. what should i do? i really dont want to spend the $100 for my warrenty to just get one little plastic gear. ford said something like 250+ for the whole motor.
