Pffft. 1.3 million cubic inches? That's only like 21,000 liters. I wonder how hard it would be to swap out my Zetec for one of those?

Those things are nuts!! The post-Panamax ships (which are powered by said engines) these days are incredible. Over 900 feet long and holds over 2400 containers; that's like 4 million pairs of shoes. Some interesting bits is that they can only increase RPM by 1 per minute, the fuel doesn't even flow until over 140 degrees F., they can pinpoint cylinder wall temps to specific locations, and you can sit inside a turbocharger
And because they're not built by GM, maintenance is a breeze! Pulling a head or piston or whatever is designed into the ship, all of the heavy equipment is already there for servicing. A manufacturer thinking about maintenance, wow.

Actually with Diesels it would be Propane.
With 100,000 hp @ 101.5 rpm that would equate to over 5 million ft-lbs of torque!

4.7 hp per liter..psffhh, nothing compared to the duratec. A duratec that size would make 1,680,000 hp

Just think of the power if they painted it yellow and put a wing on it.... Probably double I'd say.
