Those things are nuts!! The post-Panamax ships (which are powered by said engines) these days are incredible. Over 900 feet long and holds over 2400 containers; that's like 4 million pairs of shoes. Some interesting bits is that they can only increase RPM by 1 per minute, the fuel doesn't even flow until over 140 degrees F., they can pinpoint cylinder wall temps to specific locations, and you can sit inside a turbocharger
And because they're not built by GM, maintenance is a breeze! Pulling a head or piston or whatever is designed into the ship, all of the heavy equipment is already there for servicing. A manufacturer thinking about maintenance, wow.
