Ok, so I'm buying the K&N cone filter and I know I'll need to make a heatshield and get an adapter. As I am new to this realm of automobile ownership, I am confused on a couple of issues. After reading past threads, etc., I have noticed that there are several types of adaptors for different types of mods relating to intake as well as different types of heatshield material. My questions:
1) What type of adapter do I need? Is it the MAF gasket or the MAF adapter.
2) Will I also need the IAT relocation kit?
3) What is the best heatshield material and in what area needs to be shielded?
4) Where do I put the heatshield and how so you secure it and to what?
and finally..........
5) How do you actually go about replacing the stock intake and putting in the filter, etc.? I couldn't find a how to or a thread on this so if there is one excuse me, I'm an idiot. Thanks for your patience with me and for any help ya'll could give me.
