A dealer is going to stop selling any brand for a few reasons. One, is if it isn't selling there's no point in carrying it. Two, if there is no margin in the product and he's not making money. Three, if the distributor is difficult to deal with, perhaps with bad credit terms, or poor turn around time on warranty repairs. Its all about money and wether they can make it in their market.
There are plenty of JL dealers out there. JL continues to release new amps and subs each year pretty much. Their new W7 and W6 lines of subs are excellent. And their amps are really quite nice, they just released a lower priced line of amps this year. As with most upper end products they are priced accordingly, some of that price is paying for the "name brand". But most of it is for the quality of the equipment.
