Has anyone been able to R&R manifolds or install headers solo? I looked at installing headers by myself but concluded that I needed another pair of hands, especially someone with smaller hands than mine.

I did mine myself... Go to meijer and get one of the 3/8" stubby(3-4") ratchets, it makes the job beautifully easy

I didn't remove/move any coolant lines. Like everyone else has said, the front is cake.
If you're doing headers, however, it's just a little time-consuming and tedious to turn the bolts on the front cause the header tubes get in the way of the wrench. Hence the gear wrenches, eh?

I got my rear manifold off without removing anything. I have sore fore arms from shoving them in strange positions, but I did it.....

But I do think I'll take the intermediate shaft bearing's mount and the alternator out for ease of installation......

The front, I did take the coolant tube out and it made it WAY easy. That rear manifold is a major PITA though! I'll have to try the stubby 3/8" ratchet. So far my Swivel head snap-on ratchet and the swivel joint has made things much easier on the rear manifold.

I've had all the studs come out with the nuts.....

I removed a set of SHM headers from my old Contour and put on stock manifolds by myself. Airtools are your friend.

Did you install the manifolds yet? How was the job? Just wondering cause I went to a dealer today and they want the car for possibly two days to replace my rear pre-cat, under warranty thankfully, for a P0420 code.
