I've been noticing that the steering in my 96 SE seems to be getting more loose now that the car is getting up in car years (90k miles). Would replacing the power steering pump correct this? Does anyone know how to fix a loose steering condition?

Power steering pump, no; tie rod ends, yes.

Don't forget Ball Joints and control arm bushings can cause this too.

Rod ends first,outer...the inners are part of the rack.....

These are wear items, replacement only (about $25 each plus labor), followed by alignment. From your posts, however, I would recommend you get a front end inspection and see what sort of problems a shop could identify.
