I just put in a Sony HU and bypassed the amp, with a $10 harness. The new HU will put out more power than your old HU and factory amp put together anyways. So there is no need for it. Plus the harness you need for that is about $65. Once you have the right harness, and you may need some speaker wire as well (I did) then the install goes pretty easy. The harness I believe was a 70-5514 to by pass the amp.
