saying that segregated dances is OK because the kids like it that way is a cop-out.

if they CHOOSE to separate themselves at the same dance for one particular year, does that mean they'll do the same thing next year, and the year following that? maybe, but how will you know for sure unless you free the kids of such and assinine barrier like segregated dances.

FURTHERMORE!!!!!! how do YOU know that black kids don't listen to Garth Brooks or white kids don't listen to 50 cent? you don't. this separation is based on SKIN COLOR ONLY. not the kids' interests. and it doesn't keep the kids' interests or social growth in mind.
