Just wondering if you guys had problems. I had a 96 v-6 and the trans went out at 95,000. Now my girlfriend is looking at a 97' Zetec ATX. It has 65,000 on it. Any recomendations on things to look out for. Thanks

I've got a little over 100K, but the transmission isn't quite right. It has trouble shifting into reverse when it is hot. It's been that way for the last 20K.

Mine has 120k on the dail and still going it shifts hard every now and then. And it has been on several 6-14 hour trips at high speeds aroudn 90mph ad its still running fine.
none stop i might add except for gas

At 91,000 the transaxle goes fine. The only problem I notice is a reluctance to go into Park when it's well below freezing. Its probably a cable thing and certainly wouldn't be a problem in Florida!

91k+ miles and counting, seems fine. i have a chip, nearly got rid of the harsh 1 to 2 bang shift. also use mobil 1 synthetic ATF. plan on installing tranny cooler this summer. friend of mine's went out at ~50k miles.

over 80k, have had a chip since about 30K, installed a tranny cooler last year, runs great!

mine's just a click over 130k and theres no difference from the day i bought it. (which was last week)  JK

Well most of you are not going to belive this but my first 95 tour had 250K when the motor let loose and the tranny was fine, However the 1995 i tour i got now is just out of the shop with a new tranny at 119K I got real lucky with the first one i guess.

Did your first one have a cooler and did the car live in real cool cilmates?
