Today at 70300 miles I joined the imploded water pump club. I had just raced a WRX which by the way I lost to, but not by much, when I looked at my temp. Way past the red. Scared the $hit out of me. Took it in today and got an estimate for 250. Is there a metal impeller or a stronger one that I can replace the other with. And have any of you other people that suffered the same problem had any heat stress problems with the aluminum block and heads?
