Um no. You have seen our stock intake, right.
Umm. I clearly illustrated that for some reason I thought he was talking about the CTA pipe for the Duratech that replaces the accordian tube. That is what I think of when I hear CTA pipe. I also later realized that he was talking about a zetec and the different CAI pipe.

The CTA intake is Short ram style intake. Which increases torque not reduces it and it soaks a lot less heat than the mile long stock plastic tubing thats going on under the hood. If your really worried about heat you can get a Heat shiled for the filter. An intake is the starting point for small Fule injeted motors. With out every mod will suck big time.

The stock intake sucks in cooler air than the CTA intake, but only by 20% or so.
The CTA sucks in about 3 times more air.
Also the intake tract of the CTA is a straight, smooth shot to the TB from the filter keeping the air intake velocity up.
Whereas the stock intake is all fugged up with silencers and resonators, keeping the intake quite and robbing of the car of valuable HP.
Currently, the CTA is the best available intake upgrade for us.
Though, some people have used intakes meant for the Focus.

my home made intake had better low end then CTA due to less heat soak, but CTA is good mid to high rpms., just means i have to power brake on launches.
