I think the 1999 and 2000 fuse boxes are different from the earlier ones. In any case, your owner's manual should list the fuses and what they go to. On the early ones, there are three fuses that are labeled for the EEC system, 4, 9, and 11. It may be necessary to pull only one of them, but I'm in the habit of pulling 4 and 11.
If you pull the fuses, you will not have to reset the radio station presets or clock, as you will if you disconnect the battery.
