Hi Folks...

I need to replace the 'main' cat on my '96 LX (w/2.5L V6, ATX) and don't want to drop the $600-$800 that Midas is asking, are there any local choices (that will etest ok)?

FWIW, I've found the BAT/SP Motorsports/Performance Fords/CTA Motorsports offerings - has any one here had any experience with any of these parts (ypipes & downtubes w/cat attached)? I'm not looking for a 'hot' setup, just one that's etestable...

I've also recently dropped a few hundred on getting the exhaust system "whole-free" recently (back of the cat), so the thought of a "chop and weld" install (for a generic converter ala MagnaFlow) isn't too appealing.

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,

KVR Performance can get you a high flow universal cat for much less. They used to recommend Dan's Muffler and Brake out in Metcalfe for the install. Not sure if they still do.
