All,
I have a Malibu (yeah flame on :p )
Friday morning took it in for Transmission service, I bought the car 8 months ago and have put 32k miles on it. I went with the flush, filter, fluid service.
Had to go about 30 miles after they were done to pickup my g/f. It would shift when it wanted to....specifically it was not shifting at normal points for an ATX. It would shift anywhere from 5-6k rpms

and would shift hard. Took it back, the mechanic said that the car did not have a transmission dipstick, but a level

and they were not sure how full the reservoir was of fluid
So, they put one quart in and it runs fine......BUT, on a left hand turn or u-turn only it shifts HARD into 2nd at about 5700rpm's. Maybe its still not full enough?
WTF did they do? Why did they do it? And how the F*ck can I fix it? The tranny was running very smooth and shifted excellently before the service, I just wanted to do some preventive maintenance, I will do it myself from now on.
I WOULD LOVE FOR ANY COMMENTS OR SUGGESTIONS!
