I noticed that for my car to stay straight the steering wheel has to stay abit off center to the left ..just slightly... I did take it for a FORD aligment a few days ago but I am not sure whether this was the cause since I did not notice it right away.. however, I admit my front tires are slightly unequally worn since only one is from last seasons rear end while the other stayed where it is.. why would I do that? well, I noticed the inner tire designs were different for 2 of the tires I had so I thought, since all 4 are relatively new, I would be better off having those with the same insise design on the same axle..

We're talking maybe 2000 km difference at most..
so could it be the reason for the opff center steering wheel , mind you when I hold it slightly to the left , there is no pull or anything , ?? thanks

the off centered steering wheel is from your alignment. in most cases i've found you have to ask them to center the steering wheel when they do the alignment. they won't do it on their own because it's a little more difficult to do it that way. go back and tell them you want your steering wheel centered.

You might want to check air pressure in tires as well.
