Well my car went in for another tranny problem today......

It makes a loud banging noise when you start accelerating in first and 2nd at low speeds and especcially while turning.... It sounded like a differential problem to me.....and it was....

Main reason that i'm upset is that my warranty expired 2 weeks ago!!!! AARRGGHH!! whats the chance they will give me a break and cover some of the cost? The trany has been rebuilt once before (last Sept.)....could i just say that instead of rebuilding they should have replaced it with the upgraded tranny in the first place? and try to get it covered!?

Everytime this car goes in for repairs I question why i still keep it! Oh well at this point i have put way too much stuff into it to sell...
Also i don't think my car likes Import Shows since both times the tranny died i was supposed to enter a car show the next week!

I believe you have 3 things going for you. First, they have repaired it once, and the same part broke. Second, you are only 2 weeks out of warranty. Third, I believe that trannies have a 1 year warranty on them? You should keep (nicely) bugging them until they fix it for free. They will usually try and work with you, if you get it to a decent dealer.

Dont hold your breath...trannies & parts are a big issue for Ford dealers right now..if the diff grenaded you will get the 'you were racing' line...watch out , this could be big bucks!!!

Any Ford replaced transmission has a 12 month 12,000 mile warrenty. If you haven't driven that far then they have to fix it. Or at least that's how my dealer looks at it.
