The car couldn't ever be titled, so it'd be strictly a track/parts car.. Interior was all screwed, there was probably about $15K worth of work that would have needed to be done to get it running right.

Somehow I think a 300hp 2900lb neon might have traction problems an AWD car doesn't have

You're killing me, man! Why the hatred over the Neon?

A few car mags got their hands on the STi this month, and even with traction, they're all getting around 13.2s. Considering I've seen bone stock SRT-4s hit 13.8-13.9s, I think with an extra 100HP, they'll be able to get into the 12s.

As mentioned above a 300hp neon will have problems launching correctly. Granted you could throw on some slicks, put in an LSD and retune the suspension for dragging, but that retracts from the driveability. And in the end it's still a Neon with roll down windows in the back and a cheap interior.

I;ll have to hit up Barnes & Noble this weekend, I stopped in a few days ago and they didn't have the June issues out yet.
