I'd still take a WRX because it looks better

plus if it was an STi the Neon couldn't touch it!

thats from that one commercial though right?!?

If the Neon spent $10K to get up to the STi's pricetag, it would decimate the STi. The 300HP kit from Mopar is only $5K, imagine what one could do with the other $5K difference.

Well, figure 1k for each headgasket you would need (with install)

Somehow I think a 300hp 2900lb neon might have traction problems an AWD car doesn't have

You're killing me, man! Why the hatred over the Neon?

A few car mags got their hands on the STi this month, and even with traction, they're all getting around 13.2s. Considering I've seen bone stock SRT-4s hit 13.8-13.9s, I think with an extra 100HP, they'll be able to get into the 12s.

who cares they'll both smoke you . just ribbin you man

regardless imagine what the aftermarket is going to be like for the STi. The cars are just on two different levels totally. I was reading in SCC magazine that one of their drivers was pulling in 13.8's at the track in the new EVO. Then I jump on here the other day and see somebody's brother already ran a 13.2 with one. logic tell's me that we'll see some stock or lightly modded STi's in the low 12 second range.

Actually, I think it's this month's Car & Driver that has the STi vs Evo article, and despite logic, the Evo wins every single competition. Granted, they backpedaled a bit and said that the STi was a pre-production unit, blah blah blah.

I'll ultimately be the judge when both cars hit the dealerships. Ironic that in my area, the Mitsubishi dealership is right next to the Subaru dealership. (And the Dodge dealership is across the street)

oh well, I'd still get a WRX if I have 30,000 grand

now if I had somewhere around 20 I'd go for the SRT-4...I thought SVTs were one of the fastest cars u can get for the price but not anymore
