Anyone know what a stock SVT will run in the 1/8th mile? I will be running mine this weekend and would like to see how it compares to stock. Thanks.

Stock SVT: Look for middish 9's... Couldn't guesstimate on the trap speed, but I would imagine that a search in dyno/drag would help tremendously.. this exact topic was covered within the month/2..
Just remember that the Duratec (in any variant) begins to pull the most in the upper revs, later after the 1/8th will help.. the 1/8th and 1/4 are NOT by ANY MEANS the tell-tale of the car... We need a 1 and 2 mile course... LOL

On our crappy track here in SD, mid to low tens seem to be average.

I think the track i will run at is pretty much street type traction. It is Mid America Motorplex in Iowa(where a Spring Zing event was going to be held at)

If you have a stock SVT in the mid 9's definitely let everyone know!!!
If you have a modified Contour in the mid 9's let me know too... I like a good challenge
My best 1/8th is in the 9.5 @ 75mph range
Remember our cars pull a lot harder on the top end. Our 1/8 mile ET will be slower "comparably" to our 1/4 mile ET.

It was not broke; Yet I fixed it anyway.

Demon,
Once again, I dub thee "Sir Knowest the mostest"..
I even STATED that the cars pull alot harder in the upper revs, and yet I STILL did I normal calculation of 1/8->1/4 times..
Sorry about that..
I haven't personally run my SVT at the 1/8th OR the 1/4 track, I just knew what the 1/4 time was, and went from there.
Thanks for letting me know; I appreciate being told when I am misinformed so that I can avoid walking around spouting out idiot talk... lol

Yeah. I wondered about that. My 1/8th ET is 9.4 at 81.47mph Of course that isn't any better than before the turbo because I babied it taking off. I can do better, especially when its fixed! warmonger

You need to run 9.9 or better. 10 flat and up will have you mid to high 15s. Under 10 and you're looking good. I would love to run a 9.6 but 9.8 seems attainable.

A lot of what you do is relative to whether you think you can or not. Heck, when the CSVT 1st came out, I tried desperately multiple times to get one. Failed everytime. But I kept trying until I accomplished that goal. Now I have 2 very nice cars sitting in my garage. You know what I want next and God willing that will happen too. That time is my goal. AND I WILL NOT BE DENIED!! (Trumpets blasting in the background as I step off my milk crate.)
