My mpg is always around 16! Is there something wrong with my engine? Even when I shift low my mpg sucks!
I haven't had my car for 2 weeks, so I have been saving lots of money on gas.

I have a 4 cylinder and barely exceed19 20 mpg city ..montreal city ..which is terrible ..with 2 minutes warming up every day..and easy driving in general..on the highway best I got was around 26!!! I don't know why this is so...tires aligned, inflated balanced car runs great but poor mileage!! any suggestions..all filters clean ..etc

I can get 27 max on the highway ( 80-85mph). Around town, a whole lot less.

A few weeks ago I drove my 99 Mystique 2.5 V-6 from here to Philadelphia and back, over the mountainous and twisty Pennsylvania Turnpike, averaging about 75 mph on three tanks of gas or 26 mpg. Now If I were not such a lead foot I probably could get 30. But driving that speed on that road and getting 26 makes me smile  The rise in gas prices is not our fault!

well iam sitting at 325 miles with the light on.... hmmmmmm will fill up today and see what the mileage is, this is with a nice mix of nice driving and getting on the car, no freeway all highway and city streets.. with the chip and EGR block i would get maybe 260 or 280 area.... wow... 40+ miles them too mods where killing me, plus my car has 41k on it and i need to change the fuel filter, that may need some help, plus my car is at 3500k on oil, oil change this week indead... hmmmmmm only can get better!
P.S. iam in milwaukee and have to use that yucky reformulated junk

The best I've seen on the highway was 30mpg crusing at 80mph. But, it's usually in the upper 20s with my lead foot (120mph bursts, WOT when merging or passing).
I get about 25mpg mixed in the summer and 22mpg mixed in the winter (stupid oxygenated fuel!!!).
I LOVE my car!!! Completely flawless since I drove it off the lot with 7 miles on the odometer.
