Hey I'm about to upgrade my speakers and I check good old crutchfield.com... and for some reason, it says I can only fit one type of speakers in the back, and one type in the front. Is this some glitch of theirs, or do I really have no options? I'm confused..

The factory hole size is 5x7/6x8. Many people incuding myself have put 6x9's in all four doors. Some 6x9's can drop right in but others may need new holes for the screws or a lil shaving of the factory hole.
Anything below he factory size you can make an adapter out of mdf to accomidate you speaker so it will fit the factory hole.
All set now?

It said it was 6x8, what I needta know is if anyone has had any trouble with either the depth or the tweeter/midrange sticking up to high. I'm assuming that's why crutchfield only gave me those options.

There are three ways to do things: the right way, the wrong way, and the Max Power way!
Isn't that just the wrong way?
Yeah, but faster!

I had 4 RF 6x9"s ran by a 500X 4-channel amp. No sub, didn't need it!

Blaupunkt 2003 now makes slim line speakers and so their 6X9 might just fit with no problem!!

When I bought my Pioneer 6x8's (check my sig) the crutchfield catalog said they wouldn't fit in the rear doors because of the depth. I installed all four with no problems whatsoever. Even the guy at the store I was buying them from said crutchfield isn't very accurate.

I was just about to post the same question about Crutchfield. What Pioneer model number for the 6x8 did you get? I'm don't want to modify anything. What about PolkEx368? Anyone?
