Davin,

The EVR of which you speak is only about $37. Replace it.

Engine vacuum is stored in a vacuum bottle (in the passenger fender) via a one way valve. The Vacuum is available to this EVR to operate the secondary vacuum pot under all conditions (even engine off). The EVR is controlled by the PCM. With a direct vacuum connection the secondaries will be open durring cranking, and at WOT. The secondaries are supposed to be closed at all times until RPM's exceed around 3500. You will not get a CEL since the 95's vacuum operated system has no feedback.

Check the condition of the little square plastic retainers on the secondary linkage while you are at it. Engine heat is most unkind to these plastic parts.

Rogerm60 - Interesting, I did have one of those go once, I fabricated a replacement, but it had been broken for a month or two, could that have done in the IMRC? Can you buy replacements for these? Also, is there a mail order shop that I could order from? I'm not exactly geeked about my local dealer.. Thanks

When I got the EVR from a dealer, he gave me the little retainers free (also got some gaskets).

Won't damage anything but if the linkage falls out it won't work of course.
I believe the part number is #F5RZ-9F955-AB for the linkage retainers.

Don't have the IMRC EVR solenoid number but it is on the part.

There are a couple of dealers that help out CEGers and will ship parts to you. They provide Ford factory parts to us at a discount.
