Update:
The dealer at first said they could not duplicate the problem and that fuel pressure was normal and the sensors said there was no problem. I insisted they look again, again, and was finally about to get them to let me drive the car for them to show them when they said they were able to find the problem and 'concluded' that I need a new fuel pump, as I had suggested. Now the car has to wait in the shop for the weekend while they get a fuel pump from kansas city - luckily im still under warranty, but I fear for my wallet when the warranty is over - the car only has 24k miles and I've already had a broken clutch line and a busted fuel pump. I understand now why reliability was a major factor of this car's failure commercially. Thanks everyone, and i'll update again once I get the car back to see if it solved the problem without raising any others.
