hello there...

i have a 95 tour SE and i went over a curb(twice) :P and after this happened i noticed both my front wheels are tilted inward like if i had lowered the car.(realy bad)
the thing is, i replaced both control arms and struts, but they are sitting in the same position. now i have to keep this car... and i tried everybody locally and nobody has a solution for this... and this is costing me a lot of $$$. i have to replace the tires every couple months >:/
so if someone experienced this or similar problem please i need some advice on what to do. i appreciate any reply.

thanks

Welcome onboard.

Have you taken the car in for an alignment? If so what did they say?

i took to this place in orlando/fl to aling. they said there are 2 things they cant adjust. they said only ford would be able to fix, but the ford guys told me it would be a fortune to align.

the wheels pretty much are tilted like this / \ instead of | | .

thanks for the help again.

If the new parts are properly installed and you still have a camber problem, it may help to install the caster camber adjusting kit like BAT sells. They go on top of the front struts, so the struts must be pulled down to get them in.

Check out the BAT catalog at www.batinc.net

That would be camber (your problem) and caster (view from side and think pendlum).

The kits Big Jim refers to are made for owner's that modify their suspension lower and may have enough adjustment to correct your problem. Probably wise to review that option with your alignment shop.

It sounds like either you damaged the strut mount area of body or else the replacement control arms were too long. Funny, I replaced a rear lower control arm (son hit curb)and it was too short to get proper toe-in (close, but not exact).

Did the Ford guys say how they would fix? It maybe that a shop specializing in collision frame/unibody straightening may have to be consulted.

Hit a curb about a week ago, and now have negative camber on the drivers side. What did you do to fix the issue?
thanks,
jed
