Vacuum hose on top, just wiggle while pulling up. Be careful with hose, however, since it tends to become brittle, can crack easily and is only replaceable as part of a hose assembly.
EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube on the other hand requires big(25mm?) open end wrench to loosen nut at valve end. EGR valve bolts are then removed and valve can be moved away from tube. Do not try and move tube since exhaust end may loosen and is PITA to access.
