What are they going for now and who has one? How does it work ya?

I think Ford Motorsports offers that LSD in their catalog, and lists it for the Focus' MTX75. I'd also like to hear how owners like them too.

So is it a drop in on any mtx-75? The quaife needs shims and stuff butt IIRC you didn't need to do anything but put it in with diff carrier bearings right?
That might justify the price difference.

I think Rick from Torsen said that you'll need to do the same thing you need as if you're fitting the Quaife, because the Torsen LSD is designed for the Zetec MTX-75 like the Quaife LSD is.

Try here Price is 925 CAD but the quaife's around her usually go for around 970-975 CAD or so. I guess what I'm saying is that I don't think you should be paying more than what a quaife would cost

Where did Rick @ Torsen go? I thought Ford was only under contract for one year before Torsen sold direct to the aftermarket. Maybe we can get a group buy going. Or he can get us a really good price. Anybody has his email address?

I guess Chris got Lucky then because he didn't need any special shims.

If you need the same parts and they are about the same price, then which one should I get!??
The torsen says you can add planetaries to get the strength up to the level of torque you want.
How about the quaife, or is it already built strong enough?

I expect about 300 ft/lbs torque when this thing is back together and intercooled so I don't want to have to go into this transmission again. i.e. I want the right one the first time.

I'm getting confused with this, because after I read the Torsen website, it said it's a continuous diff, transferring power to the slipping wheel at ALL times (while driving straight in rain, etc.). I thought this is what the quaife did?

Is the quaife a full time torque sensing, torque-biasing system, or is this label reserved only for quaife??

I haven't installed mine yet, but if the Torsen is better overall, then shouldn't more people have that over the quaife?
