well bumpers are plastic
the painter at my work has done it to his car(flames) as well as a helmet and some emblems. i dont know about wood though, i guess it would work? i would have to ask him. i belive you have to first have a dark base coat(black) for the full effect. and you will need a flex primer for flexible parts, bumpers have to have it as well.
