They are way better than the average passenger car tire, just not on the level of the BFG's which were the original equipment tire on 99+ SVT's. I found out the hard way and I'm just trying to help. They say the sound is minimal, some people I guess have had bad luck or something. So I'll probably end up gettin' those. My '97 Contour
