Actually your friend is an idiot. Old V8's reved really low but there is virtually no diffrence in the RPM range of 2.0 DOHC motors no matter who makes them. Its just were the ECU is set to limit the revs that is diffrence and chip will solve that. Ive seen Zetec rev up to 8,000 RPM's (a turbo version) The fact that he would say that makes me wonder how much he really knows about cars.
