Its a tricky thing to discuss SVT's #1 priority, because ultimately it all comes back to making a profit.
The best way I've heard it put, is that SVT's existence is to "Polish the Ford Oval." And SVT does whatever is necessary at a given time to "polish the oval" or make it look better. Part of that is making great cars in somewhat limited numbers, and part of that is making profit on those cars. The bottom line is that if SVT isn't good for Ford's bottom line, SVT goes away. I don't think any of us want that to happen.
