I believe once a year,(maybe 2 times) they have an AutoX challange at DeAnza Community College. It's alot of fun but I am not sure when they are gonna have it. I believe it should be sometime soon. I wish I could do it but my car isn't up to the challange right now.

Hey! I'm a newbie here, but I don't drool or anything. The Duel at DeAnza is on May 18th. I'll be there with m'SVT. I tried to run last year, but didn't get there until 0545 and didn't make the cut. I'll be bringing a folding chair and a thermos of lifer juice this year, and will shoot for 0445.

Who all's going?

I think that I will be going, but not racing. My car isn't ready for that yet. But I believe that I will be there if finals don't look to hard

Wow, there are finally some contour drivers interested in autocross in the bay area. I've been autocrossing the past year in the area, all over the area. If you're in the Berkeley area it's best to go to candlestick. Its one of the largest autocrosses in the area, and they are pretty frequent, but you need to be a member of the SCCA. There will also be autocrosses at Marina this year too, put on by NASA (no membership required), and Marina is a better site. For those of you who are willing to drive a little they have autocrosses in Fresno (atwater) which is one of the absolute best sits ever

...okay...

I'm going to stop now I hope to see some contour drivers out there so I won't be the only one anymore.

Website for Marina Autocrosses:
http://geocities.com/nasa_autox/

Hope to see you out there.

Peter

Edit:

To actually answer the question asked. The only ford guy I've seen at the autocrosses (non-mustang) was this guy in a SHO, and man was he good. Seemed really friendly too.

ABout 2 years ago i was autocrossing.....If anyone has seen a Red year 2000 hyundai tibruron with a Zefirno body kit, dual exahust, that was most lilely me. Was it an import? Ofcurse, was it rice??? Far from....I kep the stock spolier (I hate Airplane wings ) and with the exception of the body kit it and rims the Visual aspect of it was all stock...but the motor was far from....I went all the way out, did a mild port and polish, headders, exahust, cold air, 8mm racing wires, NGK plugs, Forged pistons and piston rings, billet cams, (DOHC) Big bore throttle body, brembo breaks, lalalalala i basically put in about 10,000 to 12,000 dollars in R&D because like the contours, there was very little after market at the time.......ok.....how did i start this post...someone slap me im rambleing becasue my EX-FIANCE WRECKED IT....ok carry on....im happy now autoXing the contur,,,a lot better car, more power stock, and it takes better to mods...I had to dum a lot to get near 250 flywhell HP before i added the juice...this one....al;ready starts off good!!!!

Ok ill shut up now...sorry about the rambling...
