It's the smaller version of a stock Mitsubishi Starion intercooler. There's plenty of room in the Cougar for a FMIC, but the piping is the problem.

If you notice on the left side of the pic, the pipe is routed under the frame/radiator support. It's the only way to get the pipe under that without cutting or removing the bumper. On the right side the pipe is routed under the AC condensor, there's just enough room to get squease it in.

Running the pipes like this is the only way we could do it easy and it rarely scrapes even with Roush springs and a lower profile tire. It's doable for the zetecs but with the limited space in the V6...?
