my guess is you broke the linkage like I did once. Just take it to the dealer and get an B/M installed while your at it

See if they will replace your shifter tower and clbles with the Focus one under warrenty. Like i said above they are a lot stronger than the ones on ours....They can take the punsihment of hard shifting and everyday driveing very well.

it all depends on your mechancal skills.....personaly, im not one who would mess with a transmission....although i hear that it is fairly easy to do, but i hear of people sauing you have to drop the ttanny to get to the shifter tower...though im not experienced in phisacally removing it, try and keep up to date and lean about my own car to diagnose problems.
