I took my 98 Contour to my local Ford dealer. The front driver side bearings are shot and need to be replaced. The tech told me there are 2 (??) bearings on each wheel. Once is $60 and the other almost $500. Both need to be replaced. I don't have a problem with this, I have a warranty on the car and the most it will cost me is $50. They ordered the $500 part and it should be in Friday.
?? - Why would one wheel need 2 bearings?
