For those that asked I'm 5'10"
As for my modified diet, it was a carb restricted, (not carb free) diet, with mostly complex carbs (oats, etc) in the morning, and protein in the evening. small meals stretched out, low calories (~1500/day). Of course I splurged every now and then, beer, chocolate, etc, but for the most part stuck to that regiment, along with a buttload of exercise.
My running has improved vastly, I went from a 17 minute or so 1.5 mile, down to 11:20.
