No offense to your father, but YIKES! Pepboys... Do you know what kind of plugs they put in? Many people don't know that the Duratec requires double-platinum plugs, and knowing the track record of Pepboys I wouldn't be surprised if they put in single platinum or, even worse, plain copper.

I know this from experience. I put in Splitfire plugs which started to wear after about 4 months. I'm sure that if I let them go much longer I would've had similar problems to yours. After replacing them in October with the Autolites its been running like a champ. Could you dig up the invoice from the work or maybe even pull one of the plugs to check, just to make sure? I don't mean to be a nag about it, but I'd rather you check and be sure so you spend less money...
