I hope you guys can help me before I tear apart the engine!

Took it into the dealership for it not going into OD, got a tranny flush and they told me it was the engine that is not allowing the car to get into 4th. He said the cpu will not shift if it does not have the power to shift into OD.

Car has been missing under load, going up hills, getting on it etc, etc.. But it idles smoothly and seems to run great if no load it put on it. I had a recent tune up and passed emissions, car has 127K Duratec and now I am suspecting it to be a bad ignition coil. I didn't have time to pull the codes from the CEL, but I'm sure it will show multiple misfires.

Any idea if I should get a new coil and see if she stops missing. WHat other cause are there, I've been trying to narrow down all the possibilities.
