i have a 97 contour gl sport 2.0 zetec i got my hands on a 2000 focus 2.0 zetec motor for $200 and was wondering if its a direct swap or if i would have to change anything out and will all the focus parts work in the contour my plan are if it can be down is to let my friends at the shop i work at brake the motor down and get it port and polished and shaved put in all new pistons rods and crank all new cams and cam gears all new pullys and the works then take the stock zetec out of my tour and drop that one in with a turbo and a 2 stage NOS kit 50 shot per stage. trying to pull 400hp out of it if possible. what is yall feed backon this

only $200?? wow! get me one!
as far as i know all u need is the engine and the computer(whatever u wanna call it)...the mtx-75 will work with it too
i'm sure u probably have to do a little work to get everything connected but if you're doin an engine swap i think u'd expect that.

I'm trying to score a SVTF 2.0 Zetec to do basically the same thing to, I hope it's possible there too.

Are you sure it will bolt up? The SVTF has a Getrag 6 and not the MTX-75. Just something to double check on. 
As far as the engine for $200, I say its a great deal if only to resell if for slightly higher. What condition is it in?

I think Terry Haynes has said before that the mtx-75 will work with the SVT focus engine.
hell u bought an engine for $200 might as well give it a try.

the motor only got like 7000 miles on it so i will need to get the computer out of the focus to go with it i hope the car is still in the yard for i can get it lol so all the focus parts will work

Focus Central is up to 436 HP at the wheels with there zetec.and meguiars racing is pushing 1000+ now these may be unachivable by the average person but it shows that the possiblites are endless.In all honesty though 350 HP is a more reasonble goal i think.

what has focus central done? i read about their car in a mag last month and they were at about 210fwhp n/a. did they put a turbo on?
