Is the noise coming from the top front, by the power steering pump? If it is, it is probably the cam chains/tensioners. One of the tensioners went out on my 2.5L, and the chain jumped teeth on the sprocket. That is when I found out that the duratec is a "interference" engine. Anybody need a good shortblock? Cheap!
