well....i wouldn't trust using JB Weld on it, especially since it's part of the cooling system. when i originally took apart my pump to see if my impeller was ok (maintenance) i found the problem with the cone. i punched the aluminum housing about 20 times around the cone to hold it in place (as opposed to the 5 or 6 original ones i saw) because it was on a sunday and i couldn't get to the ford dealer to buy the pump. it held in place for a good 6 months i'd say and came loose again about a month ago. i took it to ford and had the replace the entire unit (under extended warranty).
