Ok, my first question so take it easy on me
I searched the old forums but did not find the info I was looking for. I understand that the Steeda is a "true" short throw shifter and that installation is a little more involved but would like to know how the two compare. I am leaning toward the B&M because it is easier to put it. Has anyone compared the two to each other not just the stock shifter?

Thanks,
Ray

not really sure if anyone has compared them to each other...but both shifters have recieved praise from everyone it seems that has them....so you can't really go wrong with either imho....anything is better than stock...i personally have the steeda, and i love it...i also am pretty handy with rigging up stuff and fabricating things to fit...

if you are pretty well mechanically inclined, and can fabricate things then i say go with the steeda,if not just get the b&m and don't worry about which is better...get the one that's better for you...as they are both quality pieces...

the steeda is a real short shifter and i believe cheaper. do a search in the new forums, not old. there's plenty of info. there's a plate that needs to be removed from the old shifter that can be used for the adapter plate for the steeda. just needs drilling of the holes for the bolts. a few have done it. i'm checking ebay all the time to find the steeda. why pay the price of b&m for a shorter stick, not necessarily shorter throw. i can hack my stock stick for free.
