I saw the most awesome thing ever yesterday. I know that this website does not condone street racing. it was two cars at a stop light, no organized race or anything. i was behind them.

a black Focus SVT pulled u next to a yellow 2002 WRX. They rolled down their windows and were talking to each other. then they began revving their engines and when the light turned green, they went...AND THE FOCUS WON!!!!! i dont know how, i dont know what he had under his hood. both cars were stickshifts and both had fart pipes. other than that, all i can tell you is that i was surprised beyond belief. this has renewed my confidence in ford motor company.

I have seen WRX'es run 16's at the track..... same with the Focus SVT......I have seen wrx stock run low 14's too... It depends if they know how to drive the car....

It would take a Turbo or NOS to even get that close to a stock WRX. and if the WRX with some basic both-on's like exhaust and down pipe. The WRX will run mid 13's...... But a kill is a kill in my book...

I've got a buddy with a manual WRX and he can't drive it for [censored]...He barely pulls on my wifes's atx SE. I doubt he could pull a 16 at the track . Waste of a good car .

Just because it was a WRX dosent mean it was a turbo one, Only way to tell is by looking at the Hood, It has to have the hood scoop. If it was a turbo then he probley Bogged it, You have to rev it high and and launch hard to get a good jump on the car next to ya. If you dont your screwd until the Turbo boosts up.

ALL WRX's are turbo, sorry to say. I think you meant to say, "Just because it was an Impreza."

Did it seem to you like they were taking off pretty quick, or does it seem like the wrx just sucked?

they were both VERY quick, if i had to guess i would say the Focus SVT would've run mid-high 13's. just a guess, i should have timed them since the lights were almost exactly a quarter mile apart.
