I am selling my SVT seats to a lady at my work who just bought a 2000 SE. She has every option except power seats. Will the harness for the power drivers seat be there or do I need to make one? TIA

I am 99% sure that it is there. All you have to do is plug them in. Seaching for this topic may help too.

Yeah, most of the time all the wiring for the high end models and the low end models is the same. Makes it easier for them not to screw up at the factory. I am 99% sure it is there too.

I have a wiring connection under my seat coming from the under the carpet. I've always assumed it was the power seat hookup.

I also think you have to put in a fuse, not sure which one, but a search should answer that question.

I was under the impression that they all came pre-wired, until I swapped my seats out for SVT seats. My '99 SE only has the seatbelt sensor wire.
Only way to be sure is to look under the seat, there should be two wire harnesses: the seatbelt sensor one, and the power seat one (which is thicker guage wire).

The fuse should be already in for the power seat wire. Mine is in.

Hey fluid, I have taken out my driver side power seat....for mine theres 2 wireing harnestes, one with a black connector the other with an orange one...i compared with a few other of my freinds tours without power seats...they have the orange connector but no black.... Im thinking you need one more harnest to complete the set....but im not sure, for all i know the black connect could just be under the carpet.....N-e-ways, i would find a way to double check to make sure she has everything she needs.
Good Luck!

but which ones are underneath??? Most people(from my experience) have only the seat belt warning harnest. (which is orange in color) there shoudl be a second one which is the color black. That is the harnest for you power seats. this is a common misconception between my friends with contours.
