Mine did it for a while and then I reset my computer and it stopped for about a month. Just started up yesterday again. Push in the clutch and the rpms would raise from 2500 to 3000 and sit for about 10 sec. Had the fuel pump replaced about 2 wks ago from sputtering under high rpm. I did the th fix using a 3/16" hole and the car runs beautifully now. Hope this helps being that is sounds like the same problem.
