Mine is the exact same way, when i pull the rubber weather strip back a little, i can see some corrosion going on. I think that every time i roll the window down, these particles act like sand paper, scratching the window. I am going to try and put some double face tape and then a layer of sand paper, and then roll the window down. hopefully whatever is in the way will dislodge or get shaved off? will let you know how this goes.
p.s. my girlfriend thinks i am weird when i open my door at a toll station, lol.
