Cujo folding like a cheap tent shouldn't suprise anyone! Having watched hime extensively for the past few years in Toronto, he's never proven that he can win the big game. Sure, he can dive across and make a huge save now and again, but that's usually because he has to compensate for being out of position in the first place! And sure, he's a helluva nice guy, but you don't need nice guys in the playoffs! I'd much rather have Belfour in net, jabbing guys that stand in his way, and playing positionally sound.

GO LEAFS GO!

As much as I hate to say it, I agree with you. I love Cujo as a person, but have never been all that impressed with Cujo the goalie. Of course, in my opinion no one will ever be able to replace the greatest goalie ever, Dominik Hasek. Manny Legace should have been given the starting position during the regular season in my opinion. But, to blame the Wings losing the series on Cujo alone is not fair. Sure, there were some saves Cujo should have made that he didnt. But Detroit as a team played horribly in this series. They looked as if they had no drive or will to win at all, their transition game was horrible, passes were off the mark and they just seemed to have an all-around lack of mental focus. I said before the series started and I still believe it: the only thing that would (or as it has turned out, did) keep the Wings from repeating would be the Wings themselves. The Ducks did play a good, hard four games and Giguere was impressive, but when the Wings are hitting on all cylinders, there is no stopping them (just ask Roy or any Avs fan about the playoffs last year to find out about that ). Oh well, there is always next year. Until then, LETS GO EDMONTON!
