Anyone in Houston, Austin, Dallas or central Texas are want to meet at Temple Texas for a drag racing meet? I would like to take the 3L turbo down the strip this weekend either Friday or Saturday night and see what it can do. I am going to take it real easy in 1st gear to minimize wheel-hop and spin, but then full throttle through 2nd and 3rd, 4th too I guess.

Tom- That's TOO DAMN FAR !!!!! When and what time? If it's that Friday night drag thing, I won't be able to make it. Sunday, is of course Easter, so that's tight (even though I'm Hindu, it would be hard to justify to Neelam). Sat would be best, Neelam has a test to study for, so it would be a good excuse for me to be out of the house  I think Little River is like nearly 3 hours from here, not that I mind driving that in my newly modded CSVT (75mm ProM baby!), but 6 hour round trip is NOT going to happen on Friday evening since I wouldn't make it there until 9 or 10pm and wouldn't want to drive back unil 3am. Keep me posted, maybe me and 1314 could car pool or something, depending on his schedule of course.

I'll do it saturday if I can get even ONE CEG'r to show up besides me!!!????
If no one is able to show up then I'll go tomorrow night early and cut out early since I have to be on duty at 4AM saturday morning. That duty won't affect later on that day because I'll be done around 12 noon or so.
I'm looking at meeting up in temple around 5:30 pm or so, get some cheap food and then drive out to the track. We can pretty much race all night till 11 or 12pm, or whenever we are tired of it.

HaHa. I basically said screw that thing!! Did you ever see Conan the Barbarian (one of my favorite movies!!!!!) where he is praying to his god Crom to help him and his two partners defeat the the raiding party of James Earl Jones? He starts off by asking for his help against all odds, then he ends by: "and if you do not...then to HELL with you!"  Thats me...thats tomorrow or Saturday night. Good luck Tom! I hope to get to a track this summer but they are a long ways away from me so it will be awhile. Plus I have't gotten used to driving my car yet, its completely different then stock...all in a good way of course  I gave buckshot a ride the other day and 2nd blocked me TWICE, so I need to learn how to not have that happen again. That is with a fully built HMS trans that shifts like a beemer no kidding, man its smooth. Never blocked me before and sort of pissed me off though. At any rate good luck and hopefully we'll see the fastest tour to date!

that is pretty damn far expecially if my license is suspended for racing my tour its sucks i got caught 5 times in one year and u would think i would of learned tha 1st time hahaha
